There’s a critical lack of affordable housing. And we know there’s no quick solution. Our plan is to use our financial strength and development expertise to build more new homes than ever and maintain them to a high standard. Providing an efficient ‘right first time’ repairs and maintenance services to our properties is one of our top priorities.
We’re recruiting for a repairs supervisor based in Basingstoke on a full time, permanent basis working 37 hours per week. Whilst we’ll try to keep you local, you’ll need to be prepared to travel to and work from our other locations in Hampshire. You’ll be provided with a company van & fuel card for business travel.
As a repairs supervisor, you’ll line manage a team of trades staff who specialise in a range of skilled trades. You'll have regular 1-2-1's and performance reviews with each team member, managing any absence and performance issues where needed. You’ll also recruit new staff and take necessary action to make sure your team remain fully skilled, flexible and high performing.
You'll carry out ‘work in progress’ inspections to ensure work is being carried out safely, accurately and on time (in line with set timescales). You’ll need to be sure that your team and external contractors are always acting appropriately and professionally. You'll help with preparing detailed specifications for rechargeable works. With our focus on delivering a good customer experience, you’ll carry out complaint investigations and take action to resolve matters quickly.
You'll have good overall knowledge of repairs & maintenance services, especially health & safety processes and procedures. We’d really like you to have experience of managing a team as it’d help you to hit the ground running. You do need a full, clean current driving licence (held for at least 1 year) to drive one of our vans. Offers are subject to a satisfactory online DVLA driving licence check, as well as a DBS check.
Interviews will be held on 25 March 2019.
