We’re recruiting for a leasehold and service charge advisor based in our head office in Portsmouth. This is a full time, permanent role, working 37 hours per week.

As the leasehold and service charge advisor, you’ll be the expert advisor on all matters relating to service charges and leasehold management cases. You’ll develop policies, systems and processes for service charges, ensuring we offer our customers a value for money service. You’ll work closely with the finance rents & service charges team to make sure the service is efficient and delivered in a way that’ll improve the customer’s experience & overall satisfaction.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring we’re compliant with the regulator’s standard regarding individual leases. As you’ll be the key point of contact for any service charges and leasehold matters, including legal proceedings, you’ll attend leasehold tribunals and represent our company in court.

Ideally, you’ll be educated to a degree level and hold a leasehold or housing qualification (please detail this in your application). We may consider ‘qualified by experience’. Previous knowledge and experience of service charge and leasehold management is essential. Due to the collaborative working involved, you’ll be a very strong communicator who’s good at building and maintaining positive working relationships. Numerical and analytical skills, as well as a strong focus on customer service, are important to this role. You’ll also need to hold a full driving licence and have access to a car for work.
