We’re recruiting for an income recovery assistant based in Basingstoke on a full time, permanent basis, working 37 hours per week.

As an income recovery assistant, you’ll assist the income recovery teams to help them provide a proactive and effective income recovery service of outstanding rent and other charges. You’ll carry out a range of arrears management tasks; such as setting up direct debits, completing Universal Credit Landlord verifications, assisting in preparing court paperwork, maintaining databases and various customer liaison. You’ll also assist the debt recovery team with the utilities charges.

Cross-team working plays a huge part in your role. You’ll develop strong working relationships with other teams, making sure we deliver a great customer experience (both internally & externally). And so that our customers are provided with the right level of support for their needs. You’ll also work closely with local authority partners, and the Department of Work & Pensions (DWP) to ensure we have accurate information about customers benefits & payments.

You’ll be experienced in a customer focused environment, always striving to deliver an excellent service. You’ll also be computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft programmes – in particular Excel, Word & Outlook. And be comfortable using new or bespoke systems. Ideally, you’ll have awareness of the social housing sector with an understanding of housing legislation, though this isn’t essential. Your strong communication & relationship building skills will be the key to enable you to succeed in this role.
