We’re recruiting for a grounds maintenance operative and a grounds maintenance team leader based in Eastleigh on a full time, permanent basis, working 39 hours per week. Whilst we’ll try to keep you local, there’ll be times where you’ll be expected to travel to and work from our other sites across Hampshire. You’ll either have use of a company van for this travel, or you’ll buddy up with another operative
As a grounds maintenance operative, you’ll carry out a high standard of grounds maintenance. This’ll include grass cutting, hedge cutting, border maintenance, weed control, leaf clearance and low-level tree work to communal land on allocated sites. You’ll complete daily work records for your sites when your Team Leader is absent, and make sure your hand-held device is always charged and switched on during working hours. As the team leader, you'll have additional responsibility for leading, motivating and delegating to the team. Planning & organising the teams work and arranging the right tools/equipment for the work to be carried out properly.
You’ll need a full current driving licence to be able to drive a 3,500kg commercial vehicle. You’ll be knowledgeable and experienced in commercial grounds maintenance work and the equipment, machines and materials that will be used in this line of work.
