As Engineering Buyer you will require experience in the procurement of a wide range of components and fabrications for our production team.
You will be negotiating with numerous suppliers in order to obtain the best possible procurement arrangements in terms of values and quality.
You will co-ordinate the supply function to ensure our project managers can achieve build deadlines. To achieve this you will need extensive experience of the procurement role within an engineering manufacturing industry producing bespoke one off packaged units for industrial and O&G markets.
Ideally you will have:
- An engineering background
- Purchasing and logistics experience
- Excellent negotiation skills
- An understanding of stores activity
- Knowledge of Pegasus/Operations Crystal Reporting – an advantage but not essential
- IT Skills with MS Windows and Office packages
- A CIPS qualification will be an advantage
