We are a fast growing construction company specialising in the refurbishment of period town houses in Glasgow.

Due to securing a number of new contracts, we are looking to appoint an Assistant Project Manager to assist in the delivery of these projects, from inception through construction to eventual handover.

Ideally a graduate with a minimum of 2 years’ experience, the candidate will have worked within other fast paced construction environments, dealing with the demands of organising the smooth running of projects.

Key responsibilities, working under a director to:
Assist with the scheduling of onsite operations and running information requests to team members
Assist with the co-ordinating of material deliveries to site
Assist with the co-ordinating of day-to-day operational aspects of projects, ensuring all aims of the projects are met
Monitoring and documenting project progress, changes and other performance indicators
Liaising with the client, contractors and designers
Assist with organising meetings, provide support by minute taking and updating action trackers
Assist the project management team with updates to monthly business reporting
Actively promote a positive Health and Safety culture on site

The successful applicant:
Must be reliable, trustworthy and proactive
A degree in relevant discipline preferred but not essential, or equivalent work experience
Experience in preparation of specifications of work, procurement of materials, installations of services, financial and scheduling management
Practical Site awareness with construction methods and trades
Knowledge about property, facilities and construction related matters
The ability to build and maintain strong working relationships between clients, office, suppliers and site staff
Methodical and well organised with a commitment to quality
Excellent communication, numerical and computer skills, including the use of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Willingness to develop career, enthusiastic and flexible approach to work
